According to the latest rankings by Transparency International India is still listed with the most corrupt nations of the world. However, one can take solace to the fact that it has been ranked more honest than its neighboring countries. India has been ranked 87th by Transparency International while Srilanka is at 93rd, Pakistan is at 143, Bangladesh is ranked at 134. Among the SAARC countries Nepal is ranking at 146. Among the developed economies Russia is the most corrupt nation with the rank of 154. Earlier India was ranked at 84th position but the recent corruption charges in Common Wealth games has taken toll over the rank of India. USA has been ranked 22nd , UK is at 20th position while Denmark, New Zealand and Singapore are the most honest nation with joint first rank.
